We invite you to be part of it and tell us your story or your thoughts on the topic. Together we can change things for better.
Always remember that peace and respect must first lie within you! Take this pledge and change the world around you by showing how amazing you are!

I pledge to make school a safe place
I pledge to respect my peers and

To always stand up against violence.

I pledge to treat others with kindness
And all I do be done in love and peace!

Interview with an expert

Interview with Mistress Luana Ionita (Schools No.1’s adjunct principal)
Olteanu Adrian: “Good day Mrs. Luana, me and some students are making a project
about violence in schools. And since you understand a child’s behavior better
than everyone else I got a few questions regarding this topic”.
Mrs. Luana: "Hello, nice to hear that..."
Olteanu Adrian: "Why are kids violent?"
Mrs. Luana: "There are some causes why kids are violent: they were victims
of violence in the past and they want to mentally rebalance. They have in their
family an adult model who is violent and dominates and imposes with this thing.
They have a group of friends or they want to imitate others who are acting like
that. They grew up in a place were the education is based on violence
Olteanu Adrian: "How can we control our anger?"
Mrs. Luana: "By developing self-control. By therapy if the anger can not be
handled. By learning alternative behaviors, on which you can rely when the
anger occurs.
Olteanu Adrian: "Do you think violence is a good thing?"
Mrs Luana: "Mainly, violence is not good, as violence born violence.
Violence is not justified, nor forgiven as long as it causes physical pain and
mental sufferings, injuries or someone's death. There are situations where
violence is justified, especially in theft or threatening cases.
Olteanu Adrian: "Thank you, Mrs. Luana, you have been very helpful"
